🍄 What’s your entrance music?

Hi Reader,

If you were a wrestler, what would your entrance music be?

A friend asked this question in a group chat recently and I loved it. It’s a fun one to think about, and I’ve been asking people ever since.

See, it’s gotta be a track that gets you hyped. Makes you feel strong, ready, fired up. Cause that's how you wanna be feeling when you're heading down to the ring to lay some smack down.

I even made a little playlist of my favourite entrance music tracks with a mix of mine and friends' favourite potentials and I've been putting on tracks in the mornings when I could use a little charging up and a sense of mission for the day.

Because that’s the point. Your entrance music should move you. Hype you. Make you want to step out and crush it.

It got me thinking again about how deeply music shapes our mood, mindset, and energy. A single track can make us jump up and down, scream lyrics to the sky, or sit and cry about a lost love.

In psychedelic states, that effect gets amplified. Music isn’t just background. It’s part of the terrain. The right playlist can steer an entire journey.

That’s why I’ve been overhauling my psychedelic music playlist database.

What used to be a static list is now becoming a dynamic, searchable tool — something you can filter by substance, intention, genre, platform and more. I’ve been working with a developer behind the scenes to build it properly. Honestly, I'm pretty damn excited about it.

I’ve spent dozens of hours making playlists before, and I know most people don’t have time for that. You want something solid, tested, ready to go.

The tool is not quite ready yet, but I’m getting close. And I’d love your input.

I’ve put together a really short survey to help shape the next version. Takes 1 minute!

If you fill it out, you’ll be entered into a prize draw:

  • 1 winner gets full free access to the new version
  • 3 runners-up get it for half price at launch

It’s coming out very soon. Your input could genuinely shape the final version. Thanks for being part of this. I’m psyched to share it with you.

P.S. Hit reply and tell me: What would your entrance music be? I wanna hear your power tracks.

I already shared Sabotage as my top entrance music last week. Here's a few more picks for you to try strutting out to.

Maybe I could be playing the sax on the way to the ring to really psyche out my opponent...

Hi Reader, Welcome to this week's edition of the Maps of the Mind newsletter. 🍄 The album stole the steering wheel Music is one of the most powerful tools in a psychedelic session. In some ways, it's more important than the substance. And yet many people are out there coming up… slightly wobbly… scrolling Spotify with shaky hands. No judgment, I’ve made session music mistakes too. Once, a friend and I queued up Oxygène by the French electronic musician Jean-Michel Jarre at the start of a...

Hi Reader, Happy New Year! Best wishes for 2026 and beyond! Welcome to this week's edition of the Maps of the Mind newsletter. 🍄 Books For The Spirit An old friend messaged me recently and asked for my top go-to recommendations for spiritual books. He's not someone I expected to go down that road, but he’s now five months alcohol-free, and open to exploring something deeper. He said he wasn’t quite sure what he was looking for, just something meaningful, not too heavy, and spiritually...

Hi Reader, Welcome to this week's edition of the Maps of the Mind newsletter. 🍄 Through the Portal Some years fly like lightning. They flash and burn and excite and move us. Others are more like low fog. They quietly roll in and never seem to lift. Some might seem like an uphill struggle, a long sisyphean slog where we don't seem to go anywhere. Maybe this year was big for you.Maybe it wasn’t. Maybe it hurt.Maybe it healed. Maybe you're still unsure what it was or what it means for you....
