🍄 What’s your entrance music?

Hi Reader,

If you were a wrestler, what would your entrance music be?

A friend asked this question in a group chat recently and I loved it. It’s a fun one to think about, and I’ve been asking people ever since.

See, it’s gotta be a track that gets you hyped. Makes you feel strong, ready, fired up. Cause that's how you wanna be feeling when you're heading down to the ring to lay some smack down.

I even made a little playlist of my favourite entrance music tracks with a mix of mine and friends' favourite potentials and I've been putting on tracks in the mornings when I could use a little charging up and a sense of mission for the day.

Because that’s the point. Your entrance music should move you. Hype you. Make you want to step out and crush it.

It got me thinking again about how deeply music shapes our mood, mindset, and energy. A single track can make us jump up and down, scream lyrics to the sky, or sit and cry about a lost love.

In psychedelic states, that effect gets amplified. Music isn’t just background. It’s part of the terrain. The right playlist can steer an entire journey.

That’s why I’ve been overhauling my psychedelic music playlist database.

What used to be a static list is now becoming a dynamic, searchable tool — something you can filter by substance, intention, genre, platform and more. I’ve been working with a developer behind the scenes to build it properly. Honestly, I'm pretty damn excited about it.

I’ve spent dozens of hours making playlists before, and I know most people don’t have time for that. You want something solid, tested, ready to go.

The tool is not quite ready yet, but I’m getting close. And I’d love your input.

I’ve put together a really short survey to help shape the next version. Takes 1 minute!

If you fill it out, you’ll be entered into a prize draw:

  • 1 winner gets full free access to the new version
  • 3 runners-up get it for half price at launch

It’s coming out very soon. Your input could genuinely shape the final version. Thanks for being part of this. I’m psyched to share it with you.

P.S. Hit reply and tell me: What would your entrance music be? I wanna hear your power tracks.

I already shared Sabotage as my top entrance music last week. Here's a few more picks for you to try strutting out to.

Maybe I could be playing the sax on the way to the ring to really psyche out my opponent...

Hi Reader, ☀️ Happy Summer Solstice! Have a wonderful longest day of the year! 🍄 The Set That Saved The Trip Last weekend I went to Manchester for Outbreak Festival; an independent music festival built on hardcore punk and chaos. While Outbreak started as a hardcore punk festival, it’s grown over the years and now there's all kinds of other genres too. Even still, pretty much at any given time, there’s still a hardcore band on stage somewhere and someone swinging fists in a pit. On the...

🍄 Your ears are a portal Hi Reader, Have you ever considered that one of the keys to unlocking deeper psychedelic experiences might simply be… listening? Listening goes beyond just hearing. It's an intentional, mindful act that can transform your psychedelic journeys. It can bring you back to the present moment and amplify the depth of your experiences. When we truly tune in, we can can change the level of our awareness. This can result in making emotions clearer, insights sharper, and...

🍄 Self-care or self-sabotage? Hi Reader, I was recently looking at a model of psychedelic integration from the MAPS Integration Station, and one thing caught my eye, this idea of self-care vs self-challenging. Synthesized Model of Integration- Bathje, Majeski, & Kudowor (2022) We know self-care is important. We know that we need gentleness with ourselves. Especially right after intense journeys. But sometimes the idea of 'self-care' can also be a mask. A way to justify laziness. A way to...
